A false statement: Take what is good (from the deviants) and leave Their Mistakes
Question to Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him):
When we give advice against the evil scholars to some of those who educate and nurture the youth, they say: ‘take the good they have and leave their mistakes’. Is this correct?
All praise is due to Allaah, there are scholars of the Sunnah and uprightness. Allaah (Glorified Be He and Free Is He from all imperfections, faults and weaknesses) has not placed us in (a situation that have) a need of the evil scholars and the books of misguidance, whilst we have authentic books. Therefore, we hold onto these affairs-neither go to the scholars of misguidance nor the innovators, nor to the books that are mixed (i.e. with falsehood). All praise is due to Allaah, we have pure and good books, and scholars. Therefore, we hold onto the scholars and the authentic books.
