A Reminder to the Mancunian Mu’mayyi: Spreading Tales Has Never Been Tolerated In Al-Markazus Salafi and We Have Never Underestimated The Destructive Consequences of Rumour-Mongering Regardless Who The Perpetrator Was!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most High) said that Luqmaan (alayhis-salaam) said to his son:

يَا بُنَيَّ أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَانْهَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا أَصَابَكَ ۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ

O my son, perform the salaat, and command right and forbid wrong, and bear patiently whatever may befall you.  Verily! These are some of the important commandments ordered by Allah with no exemption. [Surah Luqman Ayah 17]

So let it be the case amongst ourselves that we do not become weak in standing for what is right and clear. Just as we transmit the works of the scholars against the Hizbiyyoon and the people of Bidah, likewise we should never shy away from admonishing anyone who seeks to spread tales amongst us. All praise is due to Allaah, you will neither find those involved in Dawah nor the genuine people initiating any evil, such as speculation and slander against others; rather these deeds are always initiated by infiltrators and those who harbour rancour in their hearts against the Salafiyyoon. Therefore, we do not become lackadaisical regarding the affair of those who target young brothers for spreading tales. We have never underestimated the destructive consequences of rumour-mongering and blameworthy hatred and we will never tolerate it, regardless who the perpetrator is. So do not fear the blame of the blamers whilst seeking to stand for what is right. The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

I order you to be truthful, for verily truthfulness leads to righteousness (al-birr) and verily righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man continues to be truthful and strives for truthfulness until he is written as a truthful person with Allaah. Beware of falsehood, for verily falsehood leads to sinning (al-fujoor) and verily sinning leads to the Fire. And a man continues to tell lies and strives upon falsehood until he is written as a lair with Allaah.

[Reported by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.]

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

The Muslim is the brother of a Muslim, he does not deceive him or forsake him. Every Muslim’s honour, wealth and blood are haraam for another Muslim. Taqwa is here (while pointing towards his chest), it is sufficient evil for a Muslim to look down upon his Muslim brother.

[Reported by at-Tirmidhi who declared it hasan saheeh.]

The Messenger (sallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:

Do not envy each other do not hate each other, do not oppose each other, do not enter in to a sale when someone else has entered into that sale. And be servants of Allaah, the Most High and as fellow brothers. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim; he neither oppresses him nor forsakes him. Taqwaa is here (while he was pointing to his chest 3 times). It is sufficient evil for a Muslim to look down upon his Muslim brother. Every Muslim’s blood, wealth and honour are haraam for another Muslim.

[Reported by Muslim.]

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

Help your brother, the oppressor or oppressed. So a man asked: O Messenger of Allaah, one can help him if he is oppressed but how can I help the oppressor?? He said: Restrain or prevent him from committing oppression, for that is helping him.

[Reported by al-Bukhaari.]

It is well known in Al-Markazus Salafi that the Centre (may Allaah protect it) is neither a safe haven for the Haddaadiyyah nor the Mu’mayyi’oon. Likewise, neither is Al-Markazus Salafi a safe haven for those deceitful people who think that by opposing the Hajaawirah, they will be unnoticed whilst they seek to propagate Tamyi, nor is it a safe haven for slanderers and rumour-mongers.

Therefore, I advise my noble Salafi brothers and sisters at Al-Markazus Salafi to maintain their unity upon the Sunnah and strive to repel everything that will lead to rancour and falsehood. Do not lend an ear to rumour-mongers or those infiltrators who seek who spread falsehood about Salafiyyoon in Birmingham or elsewhere. Ustaadh Abu Khadeehjah (may Allaah preserve him) stated in one of his lessons in our presence: If a rumour-monger comes to you to speak about a Salafi brother, then say to him: Go and advise him or I will take you to him to advise him. This way you will stop them from spreading rumours amongst the Salafiyyoon.

And Allaah knows best

Abu Mu’aawiyah (Abdullah Al-Gambi)
