How Do We Approach the Sciences of The Non-Muslims’ by Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz
In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) stated that it is obligatory to categorize the sciences of the non-Muslims in three categories:
 A category affirmed by the sound knowledge based proofs [i.e. affirmed by the divine revelation, or does not contradict the divine revelation], so it is accepted.
 A category that is established to be false by the knowledge based proofs (i.e. affirmed to be false by the divine revelation), so it is rejected.
 A category about which no knowledge based proof is found indicating whether it can be accepted or rejected; therefore, one abstains until he comes across proofs from the people of knowledge (i.e. the scholars of Sunnah), indicating whether it can be accepted or rejected.
