Question to Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him)

A lot of mistakes and differing occurs amongst the Salafi youth as a result of the return or claimed return of an opponent of the Salafi Manhaj to the domain of Salafiyyah; what is your advice to the youth, (because) some of them accept the repentance of (such a person) and others do not?

Answer:
Whatever the case may be, if a person falls into Sin, doubts, Bidah, and then repents- turning in repentance and obedience to Allaah, then it is not permissible for anyone to close the door of repentance in his face because the door of repentance is open until the sun rises from The West.  If a person repents and returns, it is obligatory to praise and encourage him.

However, some people are well known for lying and alternating (i.e. being inconsistent with their claims and stances); so he (the person) acts as if he is repentant.  So with regards to this person, we say: In-shaa-Allaah, your repentance is accepted, but we are cautious of him until he manifests his sound/correct repentance (i.e. by being consistence in what he manifests that he has abandoned his past mistakes)

Abul Hasan Al-Ash’ari announced his repentance on the Minbar. He used to be an extreme Mutazili–a leader amongst the leaders of the Mutazilah. He persisted in defense of this evil school of thought for forty years and repented thereafter. He announced his repentance. And from the proofs of his repentance is that he began to author books of astounding refutation against the Mutizalah–rebuttal of their doubts.   So there are signs of truthful acts of repentance that dismisses doubts (about the soundness of his repentance); meaning: He publicized and manifested to the people that he is one who follows the truth.

 So there are affairs that show the truthfulness of (the repentant one) and there are factual evidences that show the untruthfulness of (the one who merely claims to have repented).  He (the person) is encouraged if there are factual evidences showing his truthfulness. (On the other hand) it is incumbent upon the Salafiyyoon to be cautious of him if there are factual evidences showing only the mere claims of his (repentance), as it may be that he is being deceitful.

The groups are widespread and it is not possible to ruin the Salafi youth and hinder the Salafi youth from the Salafi Methodology, except with either claims of (ascription) to Salafiyyah or (claims) of withdrawal from mistakes that are in opposition to the Salafi Manhaj.  So if they (i.e. the Salafi youth) incline towards him (i.e. the one who claims repentance), he may be able to entice the one he can entice amongst them towards a corrupt Methodology.  This does take place.

Whatever the case may be encouragement is given to the one from whom repentance is manifested and it is obligatory to be cautious of the one from whom playing games is manifested.  The Salafiyyoon should be alert with regards to the likes of these (people).

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) said:

What then is the (reason) behind the call for birth control? Is it out of fear of a straitened livelihood or tiredness from bringing up (children)? If it is the first affair, then this is evil suspicion towards Allaah (The Most High)—and that is because Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا

[And no (moving) living creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allah] [Hud: Ayah 6]

And when Allaah (Glorified Be He) creates a created being He definitely provides for it.  Allaah (The Most High) said:

 وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ لَا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا اللَّهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

And so many a moving (living) creature there is, that carries not its own provision! Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower] [Ankabut: Ayah 60]

And He (The Most High) stated about those who kill their children out of fear of poverty:

  نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ

[We provide for them and for you] (Israa: Ayah 31)]

And if the (reason) behind the call for birth control is out of fear of tiredness due to bringing up children, then this is a mistake; for how many a small number of children are there whose upbringing involves great difficult, and how many children are there whose upbringing is much easier than that of those far smaller than them in number?!  So the affair of bringing up children—the difficulty and ease of it—is dependent on ease facilitated by Allaah. And whenever a slave (i.e. the Muslim) fears Allaah and follows the paths of the Islamic legislation, Allaah makes his affair easy.  Allaah (The Most High) said: وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا  [And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him]

And we ask Him (The Most High) to protect us and our offspring from the enmity of the people of Shirk, Kufr, Nifaaq and Bidah. We ask Him to protect us and  our offspring from the shameless callers to lewdness, falsehood and filth. Aameen

 

Allaah chooses for His Mercy whom He wills!

Allaah (The Most High) said:

مَّا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَلَا الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

Neither those who disbelieve among the people of the Scripture nor Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, idolaters, polytheists, pagans, etc.) like that there should be sent down unto you any good from your Lord. But Allah chooses for His Mercy whom He wills. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty.

Reminders from Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah)

They do not want good to be sent down unto the Muslims from their Lord-be it little or plentiful-out of envy and enmity; however Allaah chooses for His Bounty and He is the Owner of Great Bounty. And from Allaah’s Bounties bestowed upon the Muslims is that He sent down the Qur’aan unto the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) in order to sanctify the Muslims, and teach them the Book (the Qur’an) and the Hikmah (i.e. authentic Sunnah, Islamic laws and Fiqh – jurisprudence), and teach them that which they did not used to know.

The Truth Empowers –A reminder from an Imaam of the Sunnah

قال الشيخ العلامة عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن أبا بطين ــــ رحمه الله

والإنسان إذا تبين له الحق، لم يستوحش من قلة الموافقين، وكثرة المخالفين

لا سيما في آخر هذا الزمان

Ash-Shaikh Al-Allaamah Abdullaah Ibn Abdur-Rahmaan Abaa Bateen (rahimahullaah) said:

And when the truth is clear to a person, he will not feel desolate (due) to the few people who are in agreement (with him) and the numerousness of those in opposition, especially in this end of time.

No sensible person would desire this for himself/herself

Allaah (The Most High) said:

فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ أَن تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) beware, lest some Fitnah befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them. [24:63]

Reminders from Imaam Ibnul Jawzi (rahimahullaah)

There are three statements of the scholars regarding the Fit’nah intended in this Ayah: Ibn Abbaas (radiyallaahu-anhumaa) said that this fitnah is ‘misguidance’; Mujaahid (rahimahullaah) said that it is ‘tribulation in the worldly life’; Muqaatil and As-Sadiy (rahimahumallaah) said that it is ‘disbelief’

And there are two statements of the scholars regarding the punishment intended in this Ayah: It is either the presence of ‘killing in this worldly life’ or punishment in the hell fire in the afterlife.

Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَا قَوْمِ إِن كُنتُمْ آمَنتُم بِاللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوا إِن كُنتُم مُّسْلِمِينَ

فَقَالُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

And Musa (Moses) said: “O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allah’s Will).” They said: “In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing) (i.e. do not make them overpower us). And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk.” [10:84-86]

Reminders from Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah)

They asked their Lord not to put them to trial-neither by way of being placed under the authority of a people who would then put them to trial, nor to be defeated and then they fall into trial, saying: Had we been upon the truth we would not have been defeated.
