And whoever does not fear Allaah, he will be made to fear everything.”

What should I do? I did not complete the Final Tasha-hud…[Imaam Bin Baaz]

Question:

It is well known that the Final Tasha-hud is a pillar from the pillars of prayer; and in one of the prayers I did not complete except a little bit of the Tasha-hud, so should I repeat my prayer?

Answer:

It is upon you to complete the Tasha-hud, even if you missed some (of it whilst praying with) your Imaam (i.e. the one leading you in Salaah); because according to the most correct saying (or view) of the scholars the Final Tasha-hud is a pillar (of the prayer), and there is the Salutation upon the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) in it. Therefore, it is obligatory to complete it even after the Imaam’s Salaam (i.e. after he finishes the prayer). And from it (i.e. the Tasha-hud) is seeking Allaah’s protection from the Hell fire, the punishment of the grave and from the trials of life and death, and from the trial of the Dajjaaj; because the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) commanded with seeking (Allaah’s) protection from these four (things) in the Final Tasha-hud, and that is because some of the people of knowledge consider that to be an obligation.

‘Indeed Allaah is Pure and He does not accept, except that which is pure’

The Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

‘Indeed Allaah is Pure and He does not accept, except that which is pure’

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

In this hadith he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) described Allaah (جل وعلا) (saying) that Allaah (سبحانه) is Pure.  He (سبحانه) is Pure, meaning: He is free from all imperfections and deficiencies.  He is Pure in His Essence, in His Names and Attributes and with regards to His Commandments and Prohibitions.  He (سبحانه) is Pure in every aspect and imperfection cannot reach Him; and for that reason He does not accept actions, statements and intentions except that which is pure.  He does not accept filthy statements, actions and intentions.  He does not accept except the pure, as He (The Most High) said: [إِلَيۡهِ يَصۡعَدُ ٱلۡكَلِمُ ٱلطَّيِّبُ وَٱلۡعَمَلُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُ يَرۡفَعُهُۚ  ] ‘To Him ascend (all) the goodly words’[Surah Faatir Ayah: 10]

He (سبحانه) does not accept, except good speech and good actions…up until the Sheikh said: As for filthy speech, then indeed Allaah rejects and hates it; such as lies, backbiting, tale carrying, abuse, false speech and false testimony and all filthy statements; (such as) shirk and kufr.  All of this is filthy speech and does not ascend to Allaah, and is not accepted.

Softening the hearts-Paradise is for the one who exercises patience after losing a beloved one!

Narrated Abu Hurairah [radiyallaahu-anhu]: Allaah’s Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said, ”Allaah says, ‘I have nothing to give but Paradise as a reward to my slave, a true believer  of Islamic Monotheism, who, if I cause his dear friend amongst the people of the earth to die, remains patience and hopes for Allaah’s reward.’ [1]

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said: ‘Dear friend:  This means his beloved one, brother, father or wife. If he remains patient and hopes for Allaah’s reward, he will receive [the reward] of Paradise.
