Imaam Maalik [rahimahullaah] said that it reached him from Al-Qaasim Bin Muhammad [rahimahullaah] who said, ”I met a people [i.e. Salaf] who were not amazed by speech, rather they were amazed by actions [i.e. a person acting upon what he knows].
