A Warning Against Hastening Towards Fitan (Trials)

Shaikh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr (may Allaah preserve him ) said, “From the (evil) effects and consequences of Fitan (trials) is that indeed the one who enters into a Fitna (a trial) and is embroiled in it will come back with destructive consequences and will not attain good. He will come back with destructive consequences and evil end results, and at the same time he does not attain good. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) studied a number of trials that took place during eras before his and scrutinized them in his book Minhaajus Sunnah – a beautiful and beneficial (scrutiny) regarding the (evil) end results of trial- and said, ‘’Few are those who rebel against the one in authority (i.e. the rulers) except that the evil that comes about from his actions is greater than what comes about of good.” He (i.e. Shaikhul Islaam) mentioned many examples of Fitan that have taken place, then he summarized the end results and consequences of those Fitan and said, “Neither did they establish (the) Religious affairs nor did they maintain (or preserve) the worldly affairs”. That is: those who embarked upon those Fitan and hastened towards them – they neither established (the) religion nor maintained (or preserved) the worldly affairs because when Fitnah is unleashed, killing takes place, murder becomes numerous, the people become excited, trial occurs and the evil consequences, (then) the incitement behind the trial will not bring about any good. The diseases of the heart revolve around four things: corruption, weakness (i.e. unable to restrain oneself), forgetfulness (i.e. due to being heedless) and oppression.

Doubt, ignorance, confusion, misguidance, love of deviation and wicked lowly desires (found) in heart returns back to these four affairs (i.e. corruption, weakness, forgetfulness and oppression); so a slave (i.e. a person) pursues the causes of the heart’s sickness until he becomes sick (i.e. his heart becomes sick), then Allaah punishes him by increasing this disease due to him giving preference to the causes of this disease and pursuing them.

The hearts of the hypocrites are (afflicted) with the sickness of doubt and illusion. The hearts of the disobedient ones are (afflicted) with the sickness of deviation and lowly desires. Indeed, Allaah referred to all of them (i.e. doubt, illusion, deviation and lowly desires) as diseases.

Allaah (The Most High) said:

فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا

In their hearts is a disease and Allah has increased their disease. [2:10]

The disease of the heart (appears) when it is isolated from its soundness and uprightness, for indeed its soundness is when it is acquainted with the truth, has love for it and prefers it over other (affairs). Its sickness is either due to (being afflicted) with doubt or preferring it over (the truth).

Is The One Who Died In a Car Accident Due To Speeding Guilty of Committing Suicide?

Question to Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah):

A person died in a car accident due to excessive speeding; is it said that this is tantamount to suicide?

Answer

No, this is not suicide; rather he killed himself by mistake. If speeding was the cause of the accident, then indeed he killed himself by mistake. That is because if he were asked (i.e. whilst he is alive): ‘’Were you speeding in order to be killed?’’ He will say ‘’No’’. So this (i.e. the death of this individual) is not considered to be suicide, rather it should be said that he killed himself by mistake.

Is The One Who Died Due To Smoking Guilty of Committing Suicide?!

The questioner asked Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) whether a person who died due to smoking is considered to have committed suicide! So the Shaikh (rahimahullaah) asked the questioner: ‘’Do you think that the smoker smokes in order to die?’’ The questioner said: ‘’No’’. The Shaikh (rahumahullaah) said to the questioner: ‘’Therefore, he is not one who has committed suicide. There is a difference between the one who intends to kill himself and the one who does not intend to do so. However, when it is the case that the harm of smoking leads to death, then this the strongest proof that smoking is haraam and I have no doubt that it is haraam, due to the harm it causes to the body, wealth and the manners of a person. Do you not know that the smoker may compromise his honour if he cannot find cigarettes?! Anyway, we do not doubt that smoking is haraam, but we do not say that the smoker is one who has killed himself (i.e. suicide) because he does not intend to kill himself.

People of Falsehood Differ and Argue against Each Other, but they Unite against Ahlus Sunnah- By Shaikh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami

Shaikh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami (rahimahullaah) stated that even though the people of falsehood argue against each other and are in opposition to each other; however they are agreed upon waging war against the Sunnah and Ahlus Sunnah. This is something that took place in the past up until this present day. You will find that the people of falsehood differ (i.e. all of them upon divergent paths of falsehood) and they argue against each other, and they may even excommunicate each other; but if there is a general benefit for all of them, they come together -in agreement with each other- against Ahlus Sunnah….paraphrased and abridged

Shameless Animal Abusers Fear Allaah!

Abu Dardaa [radiyallaahu-anhu] used to have a camel called Damoon, and whenever the people hired it from him, he would say, ‘’Do not make it carry such and such, for indeed it is not able to carry more than that.’’ When death came to him, he said, ‘’O Damoon! Do not argue against me to my Lord on the morrow, for indeed I never used to make you carry except what you were able to.’’
