[3] Shaikh Rabee quotes a statement of some of the Salaf regarding one of the qualities of a just person

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him) said that some of the Salaf stated regarding a just person:  ”The just (person) is the one who when angry is not entered into falsehood by his anger. And when he is pleased, being pleased does not removed him from the truth.

[2] Shaikh Rabee Briefly unveils one of the realities of an Oppressor!

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him) stated after defining what oppression (or injustice) is:

Indeed, it is clear to you that Dhulm (oppression or injustice) is to put something in other than its (rightful) place. Therefore, the one who rebuts a Mubtadi (an innovator) or a book in which there is Bidah, or disparages one who is deserving of disparagement, or rebukes one who deserves to be rebuked, (such as) some narrator, false witnesser and a sinner who announces his sin, then he (i.e. this refuter, rebuker) is not an oppressor because he has put the affairs in their proper and (rightful) places, and the oppressive transgressor is the one who embarks upon speaking ill of him and conspires against him. In reality, he (i.e. the one who speaks ill of this upright refuter, rebuker) is the one who puts something in order than its (rightful) place due to the fact that he praises the criminals- the callers to the gates of the hell fire- and speaks ill of those who give sincere advice to the Muslims.

Whoever defends them (i.e. the innovators) and argues on their behalf with falsehood, then he is from those more deserving of the statement of Allaah:

And argue not on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Verily, Allah does not like anyone who is a betrayer of his trust, and indulges in crime. They may hide (their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide (them) from Allah, for He is with them (by His Knowledge), when they plot by night in words that He does not approve, and Allah ever encompasses what they do. Lo! You are those who have argued for them in the life of this world, but who will argue for them on the Day of Resurrection against Allah, or who will then be their defender? [4:107-109]

[1] Shaikh Rabee quotes a statement of an Imaam of the Sunnah regarding the harm of the Innovators and the fabricators of Hadeeth

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him) said:

Ibnul Jawzi said, Abul Wafaa Ibn Aqeel Al-Faqee said, our Shaikh Abul Fadl Al-Hamdaani said, ‘’The innovators (in) Islam and the fabricators of Hadeeth are worse than the Mulhiddoon [i.e. the heretics 1], for the heretics aim to corrupt Islam from the outside, whilst these (people) want to corrupt it from within. They (i.e. the innovators and the fabricators of hadeeth) are similar to the people of a country who try to corrupt its state of affairs and the heretics are similar to those who lay a siege from the outside; so the ones from within (i.e. the innovators and fabricators of hadeeth) open the fortress. Therefore, they are more harmful to Islam than those who do not (attribute) themselves to it outwardly.[2]

[1] Ilhaad:

Complete Il-haad is to turn away from Islaam completely and that is Major Il-haad, which exits a person from the fold of Islaam, such as the Il-haad of the communists, the idol worshippers and those similar to them.

And Minor Il-haad does not exit a person from the Religion of Islaam, such as turning away from some actions.  Allaah (The Most High) said: [وَمَن يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ] ”And whoever inclines to evil actions therein or to do wrong, him We shall cause to taste a painful torment.” [22:25][for further details, see links http://www.ajurry.com/vb/showthread.php?t=13326 http://www.ibnothaimeen.com/all/noor/article_1802.shtml

Shaikh Rabee Clarifies Regarding When Someone Would Be Regarded as One imitating the khawaarij In Their Act of Shaving the Head

Question to Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him):

Our Shaikh-may Allaah preserve you. (Regarding) the statement of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam): ‘’Their sign (i.e. the khawaarij) will be the habit of shaving.’’ [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari, Hadeeth Number 562, Vol 9] So is the one who shaves a lot in this era similar to them because some of the scholars say that it (i.e. shaving) is not a sign of theirs at present?

The Shaikh (may Allaah preserve him) responded:

Answer: The who does not intend to imitate them, rather he (only) wants to shave his head, this is permissible. (That is) because the initial (ruling regarding this affair) is Al-Jawaaz (permissibility) and he (i.e. the person) does not desire to imitate them. Therefore, this person is not from them, for they (i.e. khawaarij) used to adopt shaving as a sign for themselves in order to distinguish them from the Muslims. They adopted shaving as a distinguishing sign just as the shee’ah adopt black clothing. This is a general distinguishing sign of black (clothing) and what is similar to it, just as the soofiyyah (i.e. the soofees) adopt patched garments and some (other types of) clothing to distinguish them from the people. So these distinguishing signs which some people wish to be distinguished by way of religious practice and from the Muslims, then these (people) are people of misguidance who are similar to the khawaarij in their (act of) shaving. As for the one who shaves because it is permissible, he is not included in this In-Shaa-Allaah, except if he adopts it as a distinguishing sign. Regarding this post: Some of Those Who Reject Ahlus Sunnah When They Call to the Truth – by Imaam Albaani

Assalaamu alaykum Warahmatullaah

Some Salafi brothers (may Allaah reward them with good in this life and the next) informed me that the reference for this kalaam is incorrect. Likewise, after checking few sources, it became apparent that there are no reliable sources attributing the speech to the Shaikh and Allaah knows best. Therefore, this post will be removed until a correct source is found, but if not it will not be posted again. However, if anyone can further ascertain its correctness or incorrectness, then please benefit us.

Abu Mu’aawiyah (Abdullah Al-Gambi)

Shaikh Ubaid Al-Jaabiri (may Allaah preserve him) mentions some of the qualities of Shaikhul Islaam Muhammad Bin Abdul-Wahhaab (rahimahullaah)

Shaikh Ubaid (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

He [rahimahullaah (i.e. Shaikhul Islaam)] was extremely cleaver; strong in discernment; hardworking in (affairs) of knowledge and seeking after it; brave in (adhering to) truth and defending it. He manifested this clearly in his jihaad against ahlul bidah, even in a western land at Basrah he announced his rejection against bidah, so he was harmed and removed from there.

Among his praiseworthy qualities and noble traits is that he had extreme jealousy for Allaah’s religion and His ordainments, and thus he used to repel bidah. He was not able to keep quiet like others and this (action of his) is from defending the statement of truth, even if it opposed the desires of the people.

Shaikh Rabee clarifies why many people are/were still on an unstable position, even though they memorize (d) a lot of knowledge

Al- Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

And that one who does not know the books of refutations, even if he has memorized of knowledge that which is to be memorized, then indeed – may Allaah bless you – he is (still) on an unstable position. We have seen many who know, but then they fell into misguidance…. Listen to full audio here:

Imaam Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shanqeeti’s Attitude towards the Dunyah

Imaam Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shaqeetee (rahimahullaah) said: Indeed I came from the land of Shanqeet (to Saudi Arabia) and with me was a treasure which is rarely found with anyone, and that is Al-Qanaa’ah (i.e. contentment). Had I desired status I would have acquainted myself with the paths to it, but I do not prefer the worldly (treasures) over the afterlife. I do not give knowledge in order to obtain the worldly goals.

Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) said: This is a statement from Shaikh Ash-Shanqeetee and those similar to him among the people of knowledge, for indeed they (rahimahumullaah) do not desire to ascribe piety to themselves, rather they want to benefit the people and that the people follow their example and this path, because we know that this is their situation and that of the scholars, for they do not want to ascribe themselves to piety through that(i.e. dissemination of knowledge), rather they are the furthest people from that.

A Tremendous Advice of Al-Allaamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi (rahimahullaah)!

Al-Allaamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi (rahimahullaah) said:

O people! Beautify your deeds based on the scales of the legislated Islamic Law-the scales of the Qur’aan, the Sunnah and the actions of the Salaf of the Ummah!

Examine whether you are upon the truth or whether you have abandoned it, or some of it! If you are upon the truth, then praise your Lord Who granted it to you and asked Him for steadfastness upon it. And if you have abandoned it or some of it, then take yourselves to account today before time elapses!

Remember that Allaah (The Most High) will question everyone of us regarding the response we gave to the Messengers and what we used to do!

O brothers! Indeed I call you to a call that is an upright guidance for you and out of concern for you, so that you are freed from the (groups) of illegal partisanship and return to the unrestricted truth and the Sunnah. But if you refuse, then the meeting between you and us will be in Allaah’s presence (i.e. day of judgement) and those who have wronged are going to know to what (kind of) return they will be returned.

One of the evil traits of a Seeker of Leadership

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said:

The seeker of leadership- even through falsehood- becomes pleased with a statement that contains an exaltation of him, even if it is falsehood.  He becomes angered by a statement that contains a rebuke against him, even if it is truth.  (As for) the believer, he is pleased with a statement of truth whether it is for or against him. And he is angered by a statement of falsehood whether it is for or against him.  That is because Allaah (The Most High) loves truth, truthfulness and justice, and He hates lies and oppression.
