Every Qualified And Upright Mujtahid Receives Reward, But The Figureheads of Bidah Stir Up Discord And Call It Ijtihaad – [A Hadeeth About Ijtihaad And a Statement of Shaikh Rabee Regarding The So Called Ijtihaadaat of Ahlul Bidah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Amr bin AI-Aas [radiyallaahu anhu] narrated that he heard Allaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] saying, “If a Mujtahid gives a verdict according to the best of his knowledge and his verdict is correct, he will receive a double reward, and if he gives a verdict according to the best of his knowledge and his verdict is wrong, even then he will get a reward.
[Bukhari Number 7352]

Few Masaa’il From This Hadeeth

[1] A Mujtahid is not deprived of reward.

[2] The judgement of a non-Mujtahid is different from that of a Mujtahid. Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [rahimahullaah] said that the one who speaks about the religion without knowledge and out of ignorance, then indeed he has lied and sinned. The one who intentionally speaks to oppose the truth, he is threatened with entry into the fire of hell, as opposed to the affair of the one who speaks based on permissible Ijtihaad, for indeed he strives, fears Allaah as much as he is able, desires to seek knowledge as much as he was able, speaks for the sake of Allaah, knows the stronger proof and speaks based on that. This person is given two rewards if he is correct; but if he is mistaken, he receives one reward.

[3] A Mujtahid can be correct or mistaken. [Reg 1]

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadee [hafidha-hullaah] said:

We do not say that there are people of ijtihaad amongst ahlul bidah because they are followers of desires, and Allaah and His Messenger have testified to this. The misguided innovator stirs up discord and errs, and then says to you, ‘This is ijtihaad’. When Hikmatiyaar and the misguided parties [in Afghanistan] murdered Shaikh Jameel Ur-Rahmaan, they said: “This is ijtihaad.” They [ahlul bidah] do not fall into an affair of misguidance or a calamity except that they say, “This is ijtihaad.”  This is [tantamount] to diluting Islaam, falsehood, misguidance, bidah and confounding truth with falsehood, when the mistakes of the [true and qualified scholars of ijtihaad]- for which they are rewarded- are placed at the same level with innovation, about which the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] declared to be destined for the hell fire. Leadership Is Not to Be Given to Those Who Crave For It Regardless The Promises They Make When Asking For It

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Narrated Abu Musa [radiyallaahu-anhu]: Two men from my tribe and I entered upon the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam]. One of the two men said to the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], ‘’O Allaah’s Messenger! Appoint me as a governor,’ and so did the second. The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, ‘’We do not assign the authority of the ruling to those who ask for it, nor those who are keen to have it.’’

Shaytaan Makes Evil Deeds Fair-seeming to The Mushrikoon And Ahlul Bidah-[By Ibn Abbaas, Sa’eed Bin Jubair and Qataadah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most High) said:

أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنًا

Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds made fair-seeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)? [Surah Faatir; Ayah 8]

Ibn Abbaas (radiyallaahu-anhumaa) said: This ayah was revealed concerning Abu Jahl and the idolaters of Makkah.

Sa’eed Bin Jubair (rahimahullaah) said: This was revealed concerning the people of bidah and desires.

Qataadah (rahimahullaah) said: And from them (i.e. the people of desires and bidah) are the khawaarij, who make lawful the spilling of the blood of the Muslims and confiscating their wealth. As for the people of the Kabaa’ir (i.e. those sinful Muslims who commit major sins) they are not from them (i.e. not from those whom the evil of their deeds are made fair-seeming, so that they consider it as good) because they do not declare the major sins to be lawful.

The one to whom doubts are made fair-seeming and is submerged in it, and his deeds are made fair-seeming to him, so that he considers it as good, shaytaan makes it fair-seeming to him through waswaas.

The Term ‘Islamic Philosopher’ – Myth or Fact?

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Muhammad Amaan al-Jaami [rahimahullaah] said:

This term is blindly utilised, therefore do not be deceived by it.  If you hear the term Islamic Philosopher, then know that there is no such thing as Islamic Philosopher. The well-known Raazi [rahimahullaah] was a doctor, but all of them [i.e. him and those like him] were not saved from Philosophy. However, he is not regarded to be from the senior Philosophers, rather he is regarded to be from the scholars of Ilmul Kalaam [i.e. those who sought to establish the Islamic creed based on logical and intellectual arguments and not simply restricting themselves to the Qur’aan, the Sunnah and the understanding of the companions] who expressed regret at the end of his life. And even though his repentance is not explicit, however he was from those who expressed regret and regret is a type of repentance.

A Precise Definition of Hizbiyyah [Illegal Partisanship]- By Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi
[may Allaah preserve him] said:

Bigoted partisanship for a particular idea that opposes the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger, and [establishing] allegiance and enmity based upon it, this is Tahazzub [illegal partisanship]. This is Tahazzub even if it is not [done under an] organisation. To formulate deviated ideas and gather the people on it, this is a hizb, regardless whether it is [done under an] organisation or not.

The Deadly Scorpions [Ahlul Bidah On Twitter] – Once Again – Think That They Can Sting

Imaam Al-Barbahaari [rahimahullaah] said:

The likeness of the people of innovation is that of scorpions burying their heads and bodies in the sand and leaving their tails out; so, when they are able they sting. Likewise, the people of innovation hide themselves within the people and when they are able, they convey what they desire.

Reflection: The Evil End of Those Ancients Who Became Haughty In The Earth and Utilised the Blessings of Allaah In Sin, Transgression, Oppression, Falsehood etc

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] said:

أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ

إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ

ٱلَّتِى لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِى ٱلۡبِلَـٰدِ

Did you (O Muhammad) not see (thought) how your Lord dealt with ‘Ad (people)? Who were very tall like lofty pillars, the like of which were not created in the land?

And (with) Thamud (people), who cut (hewed) out rocks in the valley (to make dwellings)?

And (with) Fir’aun (Pharaoh), who had [armies to firmly establish his kingdom[Ref 1]?

Who did transgress beyond bounds in the lands. And made therein much mischief. Meaning- Aad, Thamud and Fir’awn committed acts of disobedience to Allaah and were haughty towards Allaah’s Prophets, and committed corruption by way of killing. [Ref 2]

So, your Lord poured on them different kinds of severe torment. Verily, your Lord is Ever Watchful (over them).

What Was the End of That Haughty Tyrant, Wicked Criminal, Blame Shifter, Compulsive Liar, Transgressor and Oppressor Who Played the Victim Card for Many Years and Deceived Many People?

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah  [The Most High] said: [وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ – Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said] with haughtiness and tyranny, whilst deluding his foolish people; [ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُ  – Leave me to kill Musa (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)!] [Soorah Ghafir: Ayah 26]

This was his [false] claim- that had it not been the consideration he gives to the wishes of his people, he would have killed Musa and Musa’s supplication to his Lord [i.e. Allaah] would not have stopped him from that. Then he [Fir’aun] mentioned why he wanted to kill Musa – that he is a sincere adviser to his people and desires to remove mischief from the land. Allaah [The Most High] stated that Fir’awn said:

[إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَنْ يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ – I fear that he (Musa) may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to appear in the land!” [Soorah Ghaafir: Ayah 26]

This is the most amazing the affair can be! The most evil one among the creation gives advice to the people against the best among the creation. This is [nothing else] but disguised falsehood and propaganda, which cannot seize except the intellects of those [people] about whom Allaah stated:

[فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ – Thus he Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] befooled and misled his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).] [Soorah Az-Zukhruf: Ayah 54] [Re 1]

What was the end of Fir’aun and his evil blind followers

Allaah [The Most High] said:

كَمۡ تَرَكُواْ مِن جَنَّـٰتٍ۬ وَعُيُونٍ۬

How many of gardens and springs do they [Fir’aun’s (Pharaoh) people] left.

And green crops (fields etc.) and goodly places,

And comforts of life wherein they used to take delight!

Thus (it was)! And We made other people inherit them (i.e. We made the Children of Israel to inherit the kingdom of Egypt).

And the heavens and the earth wept not for them , nor were they given a respite.

And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment,

From Fir’aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins).

Who Is the Most Disobedient Person and The Worst with Regards to Giving Precedence to Himself [or Herself] Over the Messenger?

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] also said in Surah Al-Hujuraat Aayaat 1 & 2:

O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said:

When it is the case that Allaah forbade [us] from giving precedence to [ourselves] over the Messenger, then which type of giving precedence to oneself over the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] can be more severe than giving precedence to one’s intellect over the revelation he was sent with? Many of the Salaf stated [that this ayah means]: ‘’Do not say anything [about the religion] until the Messenger speaks and do not act until he commands you.’’

The most disobedient person amongst the people and the worst with regards to giving precedence to himself [or herself] over the Messenger is that one who gives precedence to his [or her] intellect or the intellect of another person over the revelation the Messenger was sent with. And when it is the case that Allaah has indeed forbidden them from raising their voices above the voice of the Messenger, then how about raising their intellects above the statements of the Messenger and the revelation he came with?
