The One Who Listens to Bidah Is Worthy of Being Put to Trial By It- [By Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawri [rahimahullaah] said:

Whoever lends an ear to a person of innovation, has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted to it (i.e. to the innovation).

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said: Whoever lends an ear to a person of innovation, has left the protection of Allaah:’   The hadith about fleeing from ahlul bidah and not to sit with them, nor to accompany them has proceeded; so, whoever accompanies them and listens to their statements and does not reject them, will be destroyed alongside them. It is not permissible for you to lend an ear to them whilst saying: ‘’I am a believer with strong Eemaan and I am well acquainted with the Aqeedah, and they [i.e. the innovators] cannot have an effect on me.’  This is self -deception [and] trial for the people; for being distant from (the innovators) and not listening to their false statements is Safety.  As for lending your ear to them, then you will become worthy of being put to trail alongside them.

And concerning the statement of Sufyaan: ‘And is entrusted to it (i.e. to the innovation)’:  Sheikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan commented: Because Allaah safeguards the one who seeks safety with Him but the one who listens to innovation is worthy of being put to trial by it. He is entrusted to it and is removed from the Protection of Allaah (Glorified and Exalted be He].

Where Those Wealthy Ones Who Utilise Their Wealth to Blackmail And Compel Needy People to Agree With Their Oppressive Judgements?!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most high) said:

Verily, Qarun (Korah) was of Musa’s (Moses) people, but he behaved arrogantly towards them. And We gave him of the treasures, that of which the keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men. When his people said to him: “Do not be glad (with ungratefulness to Allah’s Favours). Verily! Allah likes not those who are glad (with ungratefulness to Allah’s Favours).

But seek, with that (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of legal enjoyment in this world, and do good as Allah has been good to you, [وَلَا تَبۡغِ ٱلۡفَسَادَ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۖ – and seek not mischief in the land]- meaning: through pride, disobedience (to Allaah), preoccupying yourself with the blessings (bestowed upon you by Allaah) at the expense of (obedience to Allaah, being thankful etc) [Ref 1]; [إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ -. Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts).

He said: “This has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess.” Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him generations, men who were stronger than him in might and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected. But the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) will not be questioned of their sins (because Allah knows them well, so they will be punished without account).

So he went forth before his people in his pomp. Those who were desirous of the life of the world, said: “Ah, would that we had the like of what Qarun (Korah) has been given? Verily! He is the owner of a great fortune.”

But those who had been given (religious) knowledge said: “Woe to you! The Reward of Allah (in the Hereafter) is better for those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and this none shall attain except those who are patient (in following the truth).”

So We caused the earth to swallow him and his dwelling place. Then he had no group or party to help him against Allah, nor was he one of those who could save themselves.

And those who had desired (for a position like) his position the day before, began to say: “Know you not that it is Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it to whomsoever He pleases of His slaves. Had it not been that Allah was Gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up (also)! Know you not that the disbelievers will never be successful.

That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqun [28:76-83]

A Destructive Trait of Those Who Crave For Leadership – By Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said:

Its seekers hasten to obtain it to achieve their goals, (such as) exaltedness in the earth; servitude of the hearts to them; inclination towards them; aiding them in all their goals, whilst they are exalted above them and conquered.  This pursuit of leadership brings about corruption-which none can enumerate except Allaah- such as rebellion, envy, transgression, enmity, oppression, trials, being ardent in defending oneself at the expense of violating the rights of Allaah, exalting those despised by Allaah and belittling those honoured by Allaah.

Beware! Beware! Beware! Rumour Mongering Grips Many People During Times of Fitan

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ibn Umar [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said:

There was neither rumour mongering in the time of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] nor in the time of Abu Bakr [radiyallaahu-anhu]; neither in the time of Umar [radiyallaahu-anhu] nor in the time of Uthmaan [radiyallaahu-anhu]; rather rumour mongering started in the time of Fitan.”

What Was the End of That Haughty Tyrant, Wicked Criminal, Blame Shifter, Compulsive Liar, Transgressor and Oppressor Who Played the Victim Card for Many Years and Deceived Many People?

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah  [The Most High] said: [وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ – Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said] with haughtiness and tyranny, whilst deluding his foolish people; [ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُ  – Leave me to kill Musa (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)!] [Soorah Ghafir: Ayah 26]

This was his [false] claim- that had it not been the consideration he gives to the wishes of his people, he would have killed Musa and Musa’s supplication to his Lord [i.e. Allaah] would not have stopped him from that. Then he [Fir’aun] mentioned why he wanted to kill Musa – that he is a sincere adviser to his people and desires to remove mischief from the land. Allaah [The Most High] stated that Fir’awn said:

[إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَنْ يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ – I fear that he (Musa) may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to appear in the land!” [Soorah Ghaafir: Ayah 26]

This is the most amazing the affair can be! The most evil one among the creation gives advice to the people against the best among the creation. This is [nothing else] but disguised falsehood and propaganda, which cannot seize except the intellects of those [people] about whom Allaah stated:

[فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ – Thus he Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] befooled and misled his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).] [Soorah Az-Zukhruf: Ayah 54] [Re 1]

What was the end of Fir’aun and his evil blind followers

Allaah [The Most High] said:

How many of gardens and springs do they [Fir’aun’s (Pharaoh) people] left.

And green crops (fields etc.) and goodly places,

And comforts of life wherein they used to take delight!

Thus (it was)! And We made other people inherit them (i.e. We made the Children of Israel to inherit the kingdom of Egypt).

And the heavens and the earth wept not for them , nor were they given a respite.

And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment,

From Fir’aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins).

Consolation – Behave Well and Patiently Bear The Insults, Lies, Misrepresentations etc

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] said:

You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in your personal selves, and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you and from those who ascribe partners to Allah, but if you persevere patiently, and become Al-Muttaqun (the pious) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs, and that is from the great matters, [which you must hold on with all your efforts]. [3:186]

[وَإِن تَصۡبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ ذَٲلِكَ مِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ  – but if you persevere patiently, and become Al-Muttaqun (the pious) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs, and that is from the great matters, [which you must hold on with all your efforts]- Meaning: This is among those determining factors in all affairs and that which the believers compete [to excel] one another. And none is granted this except those people with a strong [upright] determination and lofty ambition, just as Allaah [The Most High] said in another Ayah:

But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient, and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion (of the happiness in the Hereafter i.e. Paradise and in this world of a high moral character). [41:34]

[8C] The Reality of The Tawheed Brought By The Messengers -[A Short Rebuttal Against The Doubt: Shirk Will Not Occur In The Ummah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Among their Shubhah [i.e. doubts portrayed as truth but are falsehood in reality] is the claim that Shirk will not occur in the Ummah of Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] whilst they still testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] is the Messenger of Allaah, and that what has taken place between them [i.e. grave worshippers] and the Awliyaa [i.e. worshipping the graves of the awliyaa] is not tantamount to Shirk.

Response to this Shubhah: Indeed, the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] informed us that certainly the doubts of the Yahood and Nasaaraa will occur in this Ummah, such as the fact that they [i.e. Yahood and Nasaaraa] took their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allaah. [Refer to explanation of this affair in the following links: https://learnaboutislam.co.uk/k-tawheed50-nigeria/  http://www.abukhadeejah.com/ahmad-an-najmees-kitaab-at-tawheed-chapter-5-the-explanation-of-tawheed-and-the-shahaadah-laa-ilaaha-illallaah/ ]

The Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, ‘’You will certainly follow the ways of those who came before you- hand span by hand span, cubit by cubit, to the extent that if they entered a lizard’s hole, you will also enter it.’’ We [i.e. the Sahaabah] said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah! Is it the Yahood and Nasaaraa?’ He said, ‘Who else?’ ‘’

[Al-Bukhaari’ Number 1397]

Therefore, the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] informed us that some of the people in his Ummah will do what the previous nations did [i.e. misguidance] in religion, customs and the ways in which they govern their affairs. Indeed, shirk occurred in the nations of the past and likewise it has occurred in this Ummah. Indeed, what the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] told us has occurred, for here [i.e. various places in the Muslim lands] are the graves being worshipped besides Allaah with various types of worship. And the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] informed us that the end of time will not come until a part of his Ummah attach themselves to the Mushrikoon and until groups from his Ummah worship idols. Who Is The Man Whose Fitnah Shaikh Rabee Regards As The Greatest Trial of Our Era?!

[4] The Reality of The Tawheed Brought By The Messengers -[When Did Shirk First Appear On The Earth?]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] said:

Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said: “There were ten generations between Nuh and Aadam – all of them used to be upon the true path [i.e. upon the sound Aqeedah of Tawheed and worship]. [Ref 1] Al-Allaamah Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said, “This is the correct statement regarding the Aayah” and then he mentioned – from the Qur’aan –  that which supports this statement. [Ref 2]

Shirk first started amongst the people of Nuh when they exaggerated [or went beyond bounds regarding the status] of the righteous people and turned away from the call of their Prophet [Nuh] out of pride. [Allaah said that Nuh said that his people said]:

[وَقَالُواْ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّ۬ا وَلَا سُوَاعً۬ا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسۡرً۬ا -And they have said: ‘You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa’, nor Yaghuth, nor Ya’uq, nor Nasr] [Ref 3]

Al-Bukhaari [rahimahullaah] said: It has been narrated from Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu -anhumaa] that these were the names of pious people amongst the people of Nuh, and when they died, shaytaan inspired their people to (prepare) and place idols at the places where they used to sit, and to call those idols by their names. They did so, but did not worship them until those people (who initiated them) had died and the origin of the idols had become obscure, whereupon people began worshipping them. [Ref 4]
