The Prophet Used To Seek Refuge With Allaah From These Four Affairs
Zaid Bin Arqam [radiyallaahu-anhu] narrated that the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] used to say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا
O Allaah! I seek refuge with You from knowledge that does not benefit; from a heart that does not fear [You]; from a soul that does not get satisfied and from a supplication that is not answered.
